Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Raw7a handles personal data when providing its rider and driver mobile application and related support services in Lebanon. “Raw7a,” “we,” and “us” refer to the operator of the Raw7a service. Contact us at [email protected].
Data we collect
- Account and identity: name, phone number, year of birth, language, account role, internal identifiers, login and security information.
- Location and trip: approximate and precise location while the app is in use, pickup and destination, route, trip status, time, fare, offers, cancellations, ratings, and trip history.
- Driver verification: identity-document images, selfie, vehicle photograph, vehicle type, color, seats, and licence plate.
- Communications: text, image, and audio messages exchanged for a trip; reports sent to safety or support.
- Driver settlement: earnings and commission records, transfer method, reference, amount, notes, and receipt image.
- Device and technical: push-notification token, app language, device/app diagnostics, IP address, security events, and server logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use data
We use data to create and secure accounts; verify drivers; match and coordinate rides; calculate and record fares and driver commissions; provide maps, routing, chat, notifications, support, safety review, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and service reliability. We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Location
Raw7a requests location only while you use location-dependent features. Riders use it to choose pickup and follow a trip. Drivers use it to receive and perform rides. The production release does not request background-location permission. You may deny location access, but ride and map features will not work correctly.
Service providers
We share only the data needed with processors that help operate Raw7a, such as hosting and object storage, SMS verification, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Mapbox maps and routing, and security/diagnostic providers. A rider and assigned driver receive the trip and contact information needed to coordinate that ride. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.
Retention
- Account contact and profile data are kept while the account is active and are deleted or anonymized after a valid deletion request, normally within 30 days.
- Uploaded chat media are removed when a trip becomes terminal. Chat text and safety reports may be retained for dispute, fraud, and safety handling.
- Driver verification files are removed following account deletion unless an active investigation or legal duty requires a limited hold.
- Trip, earning, settlement, and audit records may be retained in anonymized or restricted form for the period required by tax, accounting, transport, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations.
- Backups expire on their normal protected rotation and are not restored for ordinary product use after deletion.
Your choices and rights
You can change language and notification settings, deny device permissions, ask for access or correction, and delete your account from Profile → Settings → Delete account. You can also follow the instructions on our account-deletion page. We may verify identity and retain a narrowly limited record when required by law or to resolve an active safety, trip, or settlement issue.
Security and children
We use access controls, encrypted network transport, restricted document access, and monitoring appropriate to the data. No method is completely secure. Raw7a accounts are for people aged 18 or older; driver accounts are for people aged 21 or older who also meet applicable licensing requirements. The service is not directed to children.
International processing and changes
Some providers may process data outside Lebanon under contractual and technical safeguards. We will post policy updates here and request renewed consent when a material change requires it.
